I love our Founding Fathers. I believe that any one of them had more brains then ALL the politicians in Washington DC today put together. They answered all the tough question with worrying about who they might offend, and they didn't need a teleprompter.
I once heard it said : "Only a corrupt man takes offense where no offense is intended."
With that said I offer the another quote:
